Stephen has over 15 years of experience working in the IT channel, managing large clients with complex service and solution requirements. During his time at Comms-care, he built an extensive client base and developed strong, long-lasting relationships with professionals who share his commitment to hard work and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Before entering the IT sector, Stephen worked on a farm for several years and later qualified as a plumber. These early experiences helped shape the work ethic and practical mindset that became the foundation of his success.

Stephen went on to co-found Techonomy alongside Darren and Tim, with a vision to change how the channel consumes individual services. Their aim was to move beyond singular offerings and instead deliver integrated, value-driven solutions for clients.

Outside of work, Stephen is married with two children. He has a strong passion for sport and fitness, regularly spending time in the gym, running, and road cycling.

Darren Briscoe is a straight-talking, no nonsense, hands-on technology leader who builds, deploys, and runs high-complexity global services and solutions, technology that has to work, at scale, and under pressure.

As Technical Director at Comms-care, he built a high-performing, channel-focused support organisation with serious multi-vendor capability, earning Cisco Gold, VMware Platinum, and Microsoft Gold accreditations. That business became the UK’s largest Cisco PSS Partner. Darren was a director and shareholder who led Comms-care through its 2016 acquisition by Ingram Micro.

Darren’s approach is practical: Complex in, simple out. He drives delivery that turns chaos to control, no drama, just delivery.

Darren’s focus is end-to-end service and solution delivery: taking complex environments from design to deployment to live operation, then continuously improving them without drama. That includes global support models, multi-vendor integration, and the hard operational realities behind SLAs, availability, recoverability, security, and change done properly. The standards are clear: Right engineer, right product, right time. Critical services, quietly executed.

Tim brings over 25 years of experience in IT channel services, with a strong track record of supporting some of the UK’s largest VARs and telecommunications providers.

Known for his dependable and relationship-driven approach, he has built long-lasting partnerships spanning more than two decades.

Before co-founding Techonomy, Tim spent 22 years at Comms-care, where he developed deep expertise in delivering high-quality service solutions across the channel.

He is passionate about empowering customers and enabling growth through strategic partnerships and innovative service models.

As Co-Founder of Techonomy, alongside Darren and Steve, Tim is focused on reshaping how channel services are consumed – championing a model built on augmentation and aggregation of best-of-breed capabilities.

Living on the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales, Tim enjoys making the most of the outdoors, whether that’s walking with his dog Sweep, off-roading or boating.

With over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, Ben brings deep expertise in leadership, business growth, and strategic transformation. Ben founded and was Managing Director of Channel IT services firm Comms-cares where he successfully led the company through periods of expansion, acquisitions, and ultimately a successful business exit.

His experience spans building high-performing teams, scaling IT service organisations, and guiding businesses through complex transitions.

Ben joined Techonomy in 2025  and works closely with the management team to deliver the companies strategy and objectives.

Rob been working in the IT industry for that last 30 years wearing many hats but always focusing on delivery a quality service.

From man-in-a-van to wireless specialist to Head of Technical Services at Comms-care, Rob has a well-rounded understanding of all aspects needed to deliver annuity services and projects globally.

Having run project management teams, consultant and engineering teams and bid teams, Rob’s knowledge of who needs what and when to deliver a quality service helps make sure that every aspect of a service is delivered, with everyone knowing their responsibilities and goals.

With a service first attitude moulded over years delivering services on time and in budget, Rob’s role at Techonomy as Operations Director uses his broad knowledge and understanding to govern how the business makes sure that the customers needs are met.

At Techonomy, he oversees service management, project delivery, and internal systems, ensuring that technology solutions are delivered efficiently, securely, and in alignment with client business objectives. Rob is particularly focused on improving operational efficiency through automation, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement.

He works closely with leadership and technical teams to support Techonomy’s growth while maintaining the high standards of service the company is known for.
